Michael Haeflinger is a poet and educator from Dayton, OH. He has published one collection of poetry (Low Static Rage, Blue Cactus Press 2019), two chapbooks, and a spoken word album. He is the Executive Director for Write253, a literary non-profit that works with teens based in Tacoma, where he lives.  The mission of Write253 is to encourage young people in Tacoma and Pierce County to express themselves through writing, performance, and publication. We believe in the inherent talents of all young people to write their own stories, to discover their own inner artist, and to speak for themselves. Learn more, here.

Michael will share information about the programs and services of this important and vibrant organization, including the Line Break Press, a letterpress printing program run by the organization.  Learn more about this organization by visiting the web site and browse the resources page

We think there might be many possibilities for collaboration!
