Coming this winter is a new event we’re calling “Inside the Book Artist’s Studio”. Jan Dove will give us a tour of her studio and talk about her art process on Thursday, January 28, 4:00 PM.
Jan Dove trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she earned her MFA in printmaking. Jan’s prints, drawings and artist books have been shown internationally and she has been honored with Residencies at Blue Mountain Center in New York, Ucross in Wyoming and Hypatia-in-the-Woods in Shelton, WA. She has received awards and grants from the California Arts Council, the Alameda County Arts Commission and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jan now lives in Port Angeles, WA and serves on the Board of Directors of the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center where she organized a show of Artist Books in 2018. Her art influences are Kathe Kollwitz, Artemesia Gentileschi, and Anonymous from the cave wall tradition.
This event is free, but Registration is required to receive the Zoom link. The Zoom link will be sent to registrants approximately two days before the event.
