Stitching Your Story:  An evening workshop with Leslie Levenson

Sponsored by Collins Memorial Library and Puget Sound Book Artists

Tuesday, November 12

5:00 – 7:00

Collins Library Makerspace

Leslie Levenson  (Administrative Assistant, Geology) is an accomplished artist known for her detailed and beautiful stitched work.  She also participated in the Transforming Knowledge Exhibition and created the wonderful boots! In this two hour workshop, you will have the opportunity to work on a personal stitching project .  Prior to the workshop, Leslie will print a personal photograph of your choice on fabric.  At the workshop, you will learn fundamentals of stitching, while embellishing your own fabric photograph.  Leslie will also demonstrate free motion sewing.

Pictured above is an example of work done by Leslie.  There is a small supply fee of $10  for this workshop.  Register for the workshop by clicking here:                 Once you register, Leslie will contact you directly with information about sending your photo image to her.  You will need to send the image by November 1st so she can prepare it on fabric prior to the workshop.  The image should be sized to at least 150 to 300 pixels per inch, but she will be able to assist you with this if you have questions.
