  • In this class, we will be making a Chinese thread book, also known as Zheng xiang bao or Shu bao, which is an elegant portable toolkit. This is a structure with many hidden pockets to store your needles, receipts, scraps of paper or whatever your needs are for it. Personally I keep mine in the car for gas receipts and ferry receipts. We will be making them with hard covers instead of soft, book cloth, and easy to fold paper. This class will first show you how to make the boxes (so you are familiar with the folds) and then we will use that knowledge to make the real structure.
