A multi-faceted installation by Jessica Spring and Scott Gruber, "Memory Lame" focuses on retention and loss of memory, and our collective knowledge. Changed by the act of retrieval, seldom exact, memories are not passive traces. Made entirely of books and handmade paper—ephemeral objects slowly ceding space to more efficient means of data storage—the viewer/reader considers this evolution in the middle of an active library.
