PSBA Collaborative Books in the Time of Covid-19

Staying Home

Summer 2020

You are invited to participate in a Covid-19 Collaborative Book Project:

Each participant will be randomly assigned to a group of six artists to share in creating six small books. Each book will be based on the theme of staying home while sheltering in place.

Participants will:

  • make a small, blank book (4x6" approx.)--more specific instructions will be provided after registration;
  • create an artwork on one page of your original book and mail it to the next person on the mailing list provided;
  • create an artwork on one page of each book that is mailed to you--approximately once a week for six weeks-- and then mail that book to the next person on the list;
  • Each participant will keep one book when all six books have been filled by all six participants in the group.

 This project will take about 6 weeks with the goal of finishing the books by July 19th, 2020. After that, we will invite each group of participants to share their book via a Zoom video meeting. In future, we hope to share the books in person when we can be together again.

Please, only sign up if you are able to commit to the instructions above and follow through with the weekly mailings timeline.
