Artists’ Books and Abby Williams Hill at the
University of Puget Sound

PSBA members are invited to join in celebration on International Women’s Day to recognize local book artists who have created bespoke books as part of the current exhibition at the Collins Memorial Library: The World Through Abby’s Eyes.
Sponsored by the Collins Memorial Library this event is being held on International Women’s Day and will celebrate the Tacoma artist Abby Williams Hill. The event will include a talk by Professor Tiffany Aldrich MacBain and showcase unique artists’ books created for this exhibit by local Tacoma artists. Since last spring a number of local artists have been working with the Hill archival collection held at the University to create books that reflect Hill’s legacy.
PSBA Artists represented include: Becky Frehse, Beverly Naidus, Debbi Commodore, Deborah Greenwood, Dorothy McCuistion, Gabby Cooksey, Jessica Spring, Lucia Harrison, MalPina Chan, Paige Pettibon, Victoria Bjorklund, Yoshi Nakagawa and Yuka Petz.
